Runway 4 Peace is an official nonprofit 501c3 organization to raise awareness towards the STOP THE VIOLENCE cause by gathering our youth to create and showcase positivity within our community. As well as giving young girls the opportunity to experience life on the runway.
Our most recent event, Runway 4 Peace Fashion Show was held May 17, 2015. It was the biggest fashion show in the city of Compton, with nearly 200 attendees. It showcased the hidden talent within our community and also shined light on mothers who had children that was murdered to violence. The event was so unconventional that it was featured on the LA TIMES website http://homicide.latimes.com/post/compton-fashion-show-focuses-victims-violence/
The goal is to make this an annual event. Runway 4 Peace is not funded and need financial assistance to produce the upcoming event for April 10, 2016. The building we used this year was too small for the amount of people it attracted. It is evident that the Runway 4 Peace fashion show is growing.
The location that we will be using needs major decorations to showcase a nice event. Which is why we need funds for draping, stage, setup, etc
Please help Runway 4 Peace and the children who will be participating in the fashion show by donating funds.
All proceeds will go towards Runway 4 Peace and can be written off on taxes. (TAX ID available upon request)
