This fund is for a man who was injured while selflessly serving others during the storm that hit in the early morning hours on August 6, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. Rogers is a man with a positive attitude that is uplifting, his laughter is contagious, and has a sense of humor that brings joy to all around. Rogers Marshall was injured and his car severely damaged during the tornado that struck Tulsa on August 6, 2017.
During a severe storm On August 6th, 2017 Rogers Marshall had returned from a job about 1:30 am to return a company vehicle and head home for the night. When he arrived at Oklahoma Disaster Restoration’s shop and noticed that the trees were laying on their sides, Rogers became scared. He knew that he needed to try to make it inside before the storm got worse. While running to the front door of the building it began to rain and Rogers began to get pelted by different types of debris. Before Rogers was able to make it to the front door the winds from a tornado picked him up and slammed him against the window in which the first plane of glass broke and then pinned him there while began to get hit by all different types of debris. Rogers was then hit by a larger type of debris and knocked unconscious. He then awoke under a pile of debris and had many lacerations on his body. Being alone at the facility he drove himself to the hospital where he was attend to. Rogers is home now recuperating.
Rogers vehicle was severely damaged, windows blown out, dents from debris everywhere, and broken mirrors. Rogers and his family of five manage with only one vehicle. The purpose of this fund is to raise money to replace Rogers car as well as pay for medical expenses. Let’s all work together to help a man who helps the community on a daily basis, provides for his family of 5 and wife who is going through cancer treatments.
