Help our Riverside Legion 255

I am starting this fund for the veterans of my neighbor hood and surrounding area in Windsor ON. The Riverside Legion is in dire need of a new roof, heating and cooling, furniture and floor. Their memberships have dropped drastically and are unfortunately looking to have to close. I personally know the Vice President from church and he calls me his little sister through Christ and is an AMAZING MAN!! The bottom line is this....our veterans need our help and I would like anyone reading this to think of their bravery when we needed them. Legions are a place where they all get together and hang out, tell stories and have a place to reflect. They are getting older and to be honest I feel we as the younger generations need to show up, support and visit from time to time to show them we appreciate them. How many of our veterans and even soldiers in this day and age that stopped serving become forgotten? This breaks my heart as they are such proud and kind men and women. We could all show up and have more meals at legions or just a drink sometimes to help but what better way to show our support and appreciation than to donate some money in a way they wouldn't even think of....a new way...a HUGE show of appreciation when they REALLY NEED US. Many these days are loosing fellow soldiers, saliors etc...due to age but that also means losing members. The veterans families stop going for meals or renting the spaces out for showers or parties. PLEASE donate to help these men continue to have a place to come together... A SAFE PLACE that has been fixed and maybe even renovated for them to enjoy. If the government won't take care of them then WE SHALL!!! I thank you all in advance if you choose to donate and God Bless you all!!!!
