Help Fund Riley-Autism Service Dog

Thank you for finding us! We are working to raise money to cover the costs of training and adopting Riley, who you see pictured, to be our son Billy's Autism Service Dog. 

From the bottoms of our hearts, we thank everyone who has joined us on our journey so far. Riley will be able to help Billy immeasurably in several ways. Diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome, or now classified as high-functioning autism, Billy struggles with anxiety and has a difficult time with social interactions that many of us take for granted. Riley will be trained to notice when Billy's anxiety is rising, preventing him from self-harm or getting stressed out and overwhelmed to the point where he lashes out at others. The dog will also serve as an ice breaker among his classmates, with the desired effect of cutting down the chances he will be bullied and possibly open up new friendships that are currently out of reach.
