Help send Ricky to Siena College

My son Thomas' roomate, a  talented young student from Harlem NY, named Ricky needs your help.  His dreams of getting a college education and changing his life were fullfilled when he was accepted to Siena College, in Latham NY.  Sadly,  this year his financial aid was cut.  Even though he has worked 2 jobs last year and over the summer and will continue to work this coming school year, he is not as fortunate as some of us to have family financial support and the funds funds to continue.  He is on this journey alone.  He has acheived a 3.3 GPA his freshman year and is devastated by the news that he will not be able to return as a sophmore despite all his hard efforts to pay his own way through college.  Because his mother doesn't speak English, I have spoken to the financial aid office on his behalf, and at this point they have done all they can do. These are  the additional funds( in addition to loans) he must come up with in order to attend.  His out of pocket  has doubled this year.  In these circumstances , it is not a shame to ask of another , because each of us has a right to survive .  People must help one another. We are reaching out to you to open your hearts and help this young man in any way possible to change his circumstances , fullfill his dream and make something of his life.
School starts on September 8th, hopefully together we can send him off to Siena!
