Al Goto's Travel and Care Expenses

Al Goto is the former Director of Marketing for Copper Mountain Ski Area. Al started in the ski industry with Anderson & Thompson and was a personal assistant to one the principals. Then he moved on to be an Advertising executive with the Lange Ski Boot company in Broomfield, CO, working under the direction of Nick Hock.
Al's career at Copper Mountain came to an end when he suffered a debilitating stroke after which Al left Colorado and traveled to California where he was a Handicap Person Advocate for the Golden Gate Transit Authority. Al’s job was to ride the various busses around Marin County and into San Francisco and evaluate the busses and drivers for their skill in dealing with the handicapped.
After suffering another stroke, Al became too disabled to continue his work and now resides in a skilled nursing facility in Petaluma California. For some time now Al has wanted to return to Colorado but has lacked the funds to do so.
A group of Al's friends have organized and formed the "Return Al Goto to Colorado" project. They are seeking to raise enough funds to cover Al's transportation to Colorado as well as his skilled nursing facility charges during the time that his Medicaid application is being processed. It is estimated that the project will need approximately $30,000 in order to cover all of the costs.
Those of you who live in Colorado may, if you wish, contribute to the project at any First Bank location, just ask to donate to "Return Al Goto to Colorado" on their donations list. Checks may also be made out to "Return Al Goto to Colorado" and mailed to First Bank, P.O. Box 347, Silverthorne, Co 80498-0347.
