Team Regina Aguilar

Regina is our friend, Co-worker and inspiration to all of us!  She was diagnosed w/ a rare form of ovarian cancer 5 years ago. Like her anthem, she is battling this cancer with positivity, determination, and integrity.  She has consistently scheduled her chemo and doctor’s appointments at the end of the day so as to not miss work, or would use a vacation day to make her appointments. Every time she has an appointment at MDA she looks like a million bucks, and you would never even know she is the patient.  She has tremendous faith and positive attitude, and most of the members and staff don’t even know what battle she is fighting.

 This past Tuesday Regina was told by MDA that her cancer has spread to her lungs and that there is nothing more that conventional medicine can do to help her.  They are awaiting approval for a clinical trial and, if approved, Regina will be the first person to participate. Unfortunately, she will not know until mid-July if this trial will happen. Our concern is that there will be too much time without any chemo and her health will continue to decline. With this being said, we are determined to make Regina’s long overdue wish of updating her house come true.  

 Regina is a single mom w/ 3 children (in their 20's & 30's) of which 2 have moved back in with her.  Her dream has always been to remodel her home, and we are working feverishly to make this dream happen!  We need the help of all of you who love and care for her so much to bring this dream to fruition.  Thank you for anything you are able to do to help. We really appreciate it!
