Randall''s Medical School expenses

My name is Randall McPherson and I'm currently in my last year of medical school at Wayne State University. I plan to specialize in Emergency Medicine. As you may be aware, medical school is VERY expensive and just recently I've hit financial hardship to the point where I'm in need of immediate help. Just a little background information about myself, I was born and raised in  Kalamazoo, MI where I graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School class of 2004.  I attended Michigan State University and graduated in 2009 with a bachelor degree in Food Science. As stated previously, I'm currently at Wayne State University School of Medicine pursuing a medical degree. Starting with the application process, you must pay for every program that you apply to and once the program select you for an interview, you must pay for the traveling expenses along with the housing.  So I havent been able to apply to all the programs I would like to because of lack of funds.I’m also a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Reserves. I joined the military to better serve our soldiers but to ultimately beocme an army physician as well. The fact that I attend medical school so close to the John D Dingell VA medical center also compelled me to be more involved and want to do more with the military. Since I extended my time in medical school, the army stipend program did not grant my extension and cut off my monthly stipend which is the major culprit of my financial situation.Time is against me and if I don’t get emergent financial assistance I will not be able to graduate and fulfill my  dream of becoming an emergency medicine physician. I take great pride in being from Kalamazoo and pursuing my medical training in Detroit and would like to eventually be able to give back and help out others in need in Detroit and especially in my hometown Kalamazoo. I believe in the pay it forward method because someone has helped me along the way.   I ask for all donations large or small or whatever God puts on your heart to donate as it will still be a  blessing and help my cause.
