Windham Season of Gratitude

Last month, many of us felt helpless with the threat that happened in our school district. We've spent a little over a month getting back to our old routines. But, the kids who need these programs continue to need our help. We would like the opportunity to raise a bit more for the kids in our school district and we are asking the 800+ residents on this group to donate $10 to the cause. We will keep the page up until Feb 8th to give everyone one more opportunity to help and say thank you!
As unsettling as it was, we were impressed by how this was handled by the Windham Police Department and the RSU 14 School District (including all those who work in and for the schools in any capacity). The communication and protocol followed was impressive, and you did right for our children!
How does a community say thank you to so many? We have created a way for the community to show their gratitude in a positive way. We have chosen 3 Windham charities: the Windham Food Pantry, the Backpackers and the Feeding Friendz programs with donations given in appreciation to a job well done by our law enforcement and school district.
Windham is a great town, a great community and one isolated incident shouldn't change how we feel about Windham. This is our town.
