Race For the Times "Documental"

Donation protected
For more than two decades Race for the Times Media Group has independently been collecting and capturing our movement for social justice and human rights. Race for the Times examines the continuing struggle for freedom, justice and equality of African Descendants in America from the end of the Civil Rights struggle to the perceived "Post Racial" America.

In the spirit of "Eyes on the Prize" series, Race for the Times, represents a culmination of conversations, speeches, and performances from some of our most esteemed and honored cultural representatives in the African struggle for freedom and independence. From Griots to Revolutionaries, and rappers and pastors, old school and new; this film series explores it all from the early 90's to present day. Volume 1 weaves together the commonality in our struggle as it manifests itself in our music, art and intelligencia. This unapologetic and raw footage includes: The Last Poets, The Watts Prophets, Kwame Ture, Khalid Muhammad, Amiri Baraka, Chairman Fred Hampton Jr., Maya Angelou, Public Enemy and more.

This is the documentary they DO NOT want you to see...
This film is important to giving a glimpse on the struggles of Afrikan People in America, support a film by us, for us, that will become a teaching tool for decades to come ...

The 2 men have worked on this project for over 20 years and have done so, while working 9 to 5's, raising kids, and working in their community.
