Peasant Racing travel fund

Peasant Racing consists of a 65 year old retired miner, an old Chevy truck, an old open trailer and a 1996 Saturn race car with less than $800 invested in it.  For the past few years we have been travelling all over the Maritimes drag racing in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island and have finished in the top five in Sportsman class points every year in both the Cape Breton Dragway and ADRA points series. Since our sole income now is my Canada Old Age Pension we must seek out new sponsors to help us with traveling expenses for the 2015 racing season. Each trip away from home will cost us at least $500 between fuel for the truck, entry fees and food. We don't even consider staying in hotels or motels as the cost per weekend would be double that.  Staying in a tent or enclosed car trailer is perfectly fine for a couple of nights.

We're only ten minutes from our home track of Cape Breton Dragway but it's a 7-8 hour tow to either Miramichi Dragway, New Brunswick or Greenfield Dragway, Nova Scotia. A little shorter tow is Raceway Park, Prince Edward Island but there's a ferry ride and a paring lot wait to contend with. We only plan to make four trips away from home this year - one to Raceway Park and another one to MIramichi Dragway to participate in Sport Compact class racing and two more trips to big dollar racing events in Miramichi and Greenfield.

It took a lot of thought to even consider turning to this method of fundraising - Usually all our travel costs were covered by hosting and maintenance fees for websites we built for various clients. Facebook has taken a lot of traffic from our site and cheap domain name and sitebuilder packages have lured away all of our previous clients with flashy pages and features this old guy simply doesn't have the talent to duplicate.

With what we have saved another $2000 should cover the rest of our travel expenses for this year's racing schedule and we would greatly appreciate any financial help.
