Paul McKeever's Medical Fund

Life can change in an instant. Sometimes you are prepared, but most of the time adversity catches you off-gaurd. Paul as you may know is an Irish-native.  There is never a dull moment around him.  He can have a crowd smiling and laughing in an instant.  With that said, Paul has been a severe diabetic for approx. 30 + years.

Paul, was diagnosed with kidney failure this past Tuesday.  He rushed himself to Queen of the Valley Hospital after many days of nausea, vomiting and extreme fatigue. He was hopsitalized and admitted with little success in pushing fluids into his kidneys on his own.  As of Good Friday, he had surgery so he could begin dialysis, unfortunately he couldnt keep anything in his system (food, fluids, meds, etc.).  Dialysis treatment started immediately.  We are so grateful for such skilled medical care that undoubtedly are helping Paul. That's the good news!

The bad news is, Paul has a financial responsibility that he cannot meet.   For the next few weeks he will need to get a full grasp of his dialysis, how it works and work into a schedule that will best fit his lifestyle and any costs associated with it.  We dont know when disability will kick in or if it will be enough to cover not only living expenses but also treatment, his ER visit and operation costs.  His living situation may change and covering all of his bills as they come in will be a challange all on it's own. Insurance will pay a small percentage of his hospital stay.  The expenses are relentless.  Any help is great and well appreciated help!  God Bless.
