Breast Cancer awareness month is in October and the Carlson & Associates Insurance Agency are raising awareness and funds for the Susan G. Komen San Francisco Bay Area. We would like to bring attention to this important month and beyond October by raising funds for local patients and their families.
Why Support Komen SF Bay Area?
Komen SF Bay Area is an independent 501c3 with strong roots and community ties right here in the San Francisco Bay Area. With the help of donors, volunteers and sponsors, Komen SF Bay Area helps to meet the health needs of low income, under-insured and uninsured women and men in the SF Bay Area. We do this by reinvesting 75% of the net funds generously donated to our affiliate back into the community, based on a needs assessment that identifies the breast health needs in the 9 Bay Area Counties. The remaining 25% of net funds raised goes towards research to find the causes and cures for breast cancer.
Last year alone, Komen SF Bay Area was able to directly benefit 35,802 low income, under-insured, and uninsured women and men in the SF Bay Area through our Affiliate’s community health grants. While we have made an impact in the lives of families in our community, our work is not done and we need your help.
Donations will go directly to Komen SF Bay Area and benefit low income, under-insured, and uninsured women and men in the SF Bay Area. Join our campaign in the fight against breast cancer!!! Your small generous donation could possibly help find a cure.
