iPad Minis for PVE Student Body
Pleasant View Elementary is a small neighborhood school in Golden, CO. We are a Title 1 School with over 80% of our students qualifying for free or reduced fee lunch. We have about 300 students Pre-K -6. Most of our families do not have the resources available to them to provide ipad technology for their children to use at home.
In the world we live in, it is expected that students be technologically literate and we want to help our students achieve this goal. Having access to technology is a huge step towards academic success and is highly engaging and motivating for today's students!
We have had great success using the few iPads we have with various learning programs for our students. Our goal is to be able to purchase an iPad mini + case for every student in the school to use as a year round learning tool, in and out of the classroom. We have been able to obtain a grant to supply one of our first grade classes with them, but need many, many more! Our PTA is soliciting support for this goal, donations may be tax deductible, check with your tax preparer.
