MERCY SHIP Medical Mission

Donation protected

Ever since wanting to be a nurse, I have always dreamt about doing a medical mission. After becoming a nurse and getting my barings, I decided to look into it. This included asking others for their input.

I came across MERCY SHIPS. I sent in my application and the request to volunteer as a ward nurse. At the beginning of the month, I was pleased when I opened my email to read that there available dates and was I interested? It did not even take me an hour to respond...I WANTED THE DATES, I didn't have to think about it.

With that, my dates are from Jan 10, 2016 until beginning of March 2016. It is completely volunteer. I will not get paid for my service, infact I pay for flight, room/board (that comes with meals), insurance, etc--this is the case with just about any/every medical mission.

And thus, a friend suggested that I do a "gofundme" account incase my friends want to contribute to the cause. I feel awkward asking, but this way if you do-GREAT, if you don't-it's quite alright. Any help is grately appreciated. If I collect over the amount needed; it will be put to good use and used on the next medical mission that I do. As I am sure, this will not be my only one. :-)
