Operation Serenity

We were put in touch with a young man in a difficult situation. He is a veteran of the war in Iraq who came home with severe PTSD. He will be traveling to California for intensive treatment soon, but the biggest worry he currently has is what will happen to his dog while he his gone. She is his best friend. His saviour. She is Serenity.

We are raising funds to board and provide food for Serenity while he is gone; to keep her safe until he returns. But this Operation is bigger than that. We are now implementing a program to help other veterans and active military personnel in our community with their pets. "Serenity" is defined as the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled. That is what we want to assist with.

This fund may provide pet food, dog training, boarding assistance, veterinarian services; anything our soldiers need help with to provide for their companion animals. We want to give back to those men and women who have made huge sacrifices to protect us and our country's freedom. They have given so much, and continue to give. It's time for us to give back.
