Omega Showboat Scholarships

The Xi Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. along with the Uplift Foundation invites you to join us as we present the 13th annual and highly entertaining Omega Showboat on Saturday, October 17, 2015.   The event will take place at the Hotel Elegante’, 2886 South Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80906 beginning with a Welcome Reception at 6:00 p.m.  Your attendance at the Omega Showboat will further our efforts to fund scholarships for local students in pursuit of college educations.

The first Omega Showboat was hosted by Epsilon Chapter on August 21, 1936 in New York City as a fund raising event to benefit youth seeking a college education. Since that time, Chapters of the fraternity have continued the tradition with great success.  The Omega Showboat provides a stunning venue for showcasing local amateur talent while echoing the importance of education and service to the community.

Thanks to the generous support and commitment from corporations, civic groups and individuals like you within the Pike Peak region, in 2003 Xi Pi Chapter was able to establish the Uplift Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to assist in managing the funding of scholarships for local area college-bound youth.  We are proud to share that over the past eleven years, the Uplift Foundation has awarded $99,500 in scholarships to 65 deserving students through proceeds raised from the Showboat and other fundraisers.
