Send Olivia to Compete in Poland

Donation protected
SHE DID IT!

With your help Olivia went to Oklahoma City and qualified for a spot on the Team USA Olympic Hopes Regatta Training Team.

This means that she is now on the water twice each day as she follows the strict training regimen that was designed by her coach from the Gig Harbor Canoe and Kayak Racing Team, Holm Schmidt.

The goal is simple....to challenge the fastest girls in the country for a spot on the podium at the upcoming US Sprint Nationals in Chula Vista, California, and then to compete for Team USA in the Olympic Hopes Regatta this September in Bydgoszcz , Poland.

Olivia has already raised the funds needed to cover the expenses for the US Sprint Nationals, but over the next few weeks she needs to raise just over $3,000 to cover airfare, registration fees, and other miscellaneous costs to go to Poland to compete at Olympic Hopes.

The Olympic Hopes Regatta is a training competition for teenagers who dream of high performance competition and world championships.  The event will pit Olivia against some of the fastest canoeists in her age group from all over the world.  During the regatta Olivia will compete in both C1 (solo canoe) and C2 (2 person canoe) and her performance will lay the groundwork for her to participate in future international competition.

Would you help Olivia embark on this exciting adventure?

As you consider helping, here's a great video of Olivia's most recent competition, the Ted Houk Regatta on Green Lake in Seattle.  Look for Olivia leading her race with her C2 partner Ellie Tieman at 1:43.
