Volunteerining in beautiful Bali
Donation protected
Hi all!
As many of you may know, I am heading to Ubud, Bali on October 2nd, 2015! I will be working in a local orphanage through IVHQ's volunteer program. Volunteering abroad has been a dream of mine for a long time now and I still can't belive my time has finally come.
I will be working with kindergarten children in Ubud teaching basic English to give them a headstart before they begin formal schooling and getting them enthused about education in general.
Purchasing kindergarten supplies that children can enjoy is highly appreciated by the local families and teachers such as books, crayons, and stickers for teaching aids, and clothing. The list goes on, but these are some of the items that every child deserves during their developmental years and can greatly aid in encouraging them about school. As children at this age prefer to play rather than be taught, it is vital to utilise these supplies to encourage eagerness and willingness to learn!
Aside from school supplies. I've read from another volunteer that many families do not have photos of their children. So I'm hoping to purchase a Polaroid camera to take take portraits of the children in my class and their families as a thank you for learning with me.
Now that I'm making one of my dreams come true...I'm asking for YOUR help to make a few of the Balinese children's dreams come true as well! No donation is too small and is greatly appreciated.
Thank you all x a million!
