The Child Center of NY's OST program at PS 273 is hosting a Summer Camp in a culturally diverse community in Richmond Hill, New York. This Summer, our campers are exploring a theme titled OST Goes to Africa. The campers are learning about and exploring 6 different counties located in Africa (South Africa, Ghana, Libya, Kenya, Egypt, Nigeria). At the end of Summer Camp, we are going to host a Benefit Concert in which campers will do performances based on what they've learned throughout camp. We are hoping to raise enough funds to donate to a non-profit organization based in South Africa, The Africa Project. The proceeds will be donated to The Africa Project in hopes of raising enough funds to assist in sponsoring a school or sponsoring a library in a very low-budget school in Nkandla, South Africa.
