Imagine living in a strange place, separated from your entire family including your husband and 8-year old son.
My name is Chana Raut, and I am originally from Nepal. I was lucky enough to win a work Visa to the United States to secure a better future for myself and my family. It has been incredibly lonely living and working in the United States without them, and in the current conditions in Nepal it is torture to constantly worry about their safety and well-being. Especially due to the recent events that you have seen on the news.
During the Earthquake and its aftermath this April the village where I grew up in was destroyed killing most of my friends and family.
I am seeking funding to rescue the few remaining family that I have left: my young son and husband, who were lucky to survive the recent tragedy. All I want is the chance for my son to create a better future for himself.
I work as a nail tech in Florida, and it is difficult if not impossible to raise the large amount necessary to pay for my son and husband’s transport to the United States.
