This fund is in memory of U.S. Army SFC Nelson D. Trent, who was killed in the line of duty protecting our country and defending our freedom. It will help with funeral costs, as well as college funds for his 2 young children.
Sgt. Nelson D. Trent, 37, of Austin, Texas, died Dec. 13, 2012, in Kandahar, Afghanistan, when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
Sgt. Trent was assigned to the National Guard unit, 56th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 36th Infantry Division, Fort Worth, Texas.
Nelson was born in Tyler, TX and was a graduate of Whitehouse High School, class of '93. His surviving wife and 2 children live in Round Rock, TX.
