For those of you who do not already know me, my name is Emily Smith. For the last several years, I worked as a veterinary technician at a local practice. For undisclosed reasons, I left that location, but found myself yearning to get back into the field of veterinary medicine.
I did not; however, just want to return to a veterinary practice and continue where I left off. I had a bigger vision: a mobile veterinary practice!!!
Erie/Crawford/Venango and the surround counties are filled with small and large pet owners alike. And if you're like me, multiple pets! Often times, it is hard to get all of our pets to the vet - due to time constraints, distance to the vet, or even the pet's personalities. (Can I get an amen on the difficulty of getting a cat into a carrier?!) Cranky pet. Long distance to the vet. Multiple pets. No vehicle. Unable to drive. No trailer for your large animals. Whatever your reason for wanting the vet to come to you: we can make that happen!!
I want to take all of those hassles, and eliminate them, by coming to YOU! With a complete mobile veterinary practice, we would be able to bring the vet to you. Physical exams, yearly vaccines, ear infections, portable-digital x-rays, and even surgeries like spays, neuters, dentals, and more. We even offer the quiet, personal, and even spiritual moment of at-home euthanasias for your beloved pet.
This complete unit is a vet on wheels, meant to save you time, and come at a convenience to the pet owner!!
Several days per month, we anticipate offering a centralized location for spay/neuter clinics, and also wellness clinics in the surrounding areas. (Here's talking to you people in the sticks of Tionesta/Tidioute or Cooperstown/Dempsytown or all of the other backwoods boroughs!)
Mobile veterinary practices are a relatively new field, especially to the rural areas, but anyone who owns one will tell you: there is not enough time in the day to get to everyone who requests your service. I can't wait!
In the five months I have been adamantly seeking lending, in all cases the banks will not fund such a large start-up loan. Despite having all licensures necessary, a complete business plan including projections, and informing them this truck (and it's matching van!) have been in business for three, highly-successful years in Dallas, they are unwilling to budge.
This is where I need you!
I do not view your generosity as a donation, as I understand we are all on a tight budget - so please see the following donation amounts and subsequent rewards!

I am more than willing to continue the path of traditional lending if anyone has other source-potentials, please message me as well and we can discuss.
