DETAILED BUDGET PER EACH PROJECT
"Što Te Nema?", July 11, 2015, Place de Saint Gervais, Geneva, Switzerland

"Što Te Nema?" is a nomadic public monument created as a response to Europe’s worst atrocity since World War II: the systematic killing of 8,372 Muslim men and boys in the UN- protected “safe area” of Srebrenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina in July of 1995. Što Te Nema? is collectively assembled and disassembled by people annually on the anniversary of Srebrenica genocide, every time in a new location.

The monument consists of a growing collection of small porcelain coffee cups called “fildžani” that are continuously collected and donated by Bosnian families from all over the world. Their number increases each year, roughly corresponding to the growing number of bodies found, identified and buried to date. Through dialogue and conversation the public is invited to participate by placing the collected coffee cups on the ground and filling them with Bosnian coffee prepared on site throughout the day. No one drinks the coffee that’s being poured into the cups as this symbolic gesture of serving coffee to someone who is no longer here is meant to memorialize their absence.

Online Photo Campaign: Worldwide White Armband Day

About White Armband Day:
May 31st is the remembrance day of all the victims of genocide in Prijedor, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In May 1992, armed Serbian forces released a command for all NON-Serbians to mark their households by hanging a white cloth from their windows, as well as, to wear a white armband if they were to leave their houses. This further facilitated and helped identify non-Serbs to then be taken to concentration and rape camps, murdered, tortured, etc., which resulted in genocide and “ethnic cleansing” against more than 95% of Bosnian Muslims (Bosniaks) and Bosnian Catholics (Bosnian Croats) from Prijedor, and surrounding areas.

During the Holocaust in 1939, Nazis forced the Jews to wear white armbands with a blue Star of David. The white armband decree in Prijedor was the first such command after the Holocaust.

·         $100 – Advertising (Facebook and Twitter ads)
·         TOTAL = $100

One of the campaign participants last year.

The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness and honor the victims of whose innocent lives were brutally taken away. Over 8,372 hearts stopped beating in Srebrenica in a matter of just a few days but they continue to live in ours through our constant remembrance and honoring of their stories, and a continues effort for fair and just treatment of the genocide survivors and admitting and owning up to the truth: what happened in Srebrenica is a GENOCIDE.

·         $100 – Advertising (Facebook and Twitter ads)
