Mr. Wyoming - KKG Philanthropy
Donation protected
Gamma Omicron Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma is holding their annual Mr. Wyoming Contest. This event is our local philanthropy and it is being held on April 11, 2015. All of the proceeds rasied will benefit the Albany County SAFE Project.
Mr. Wyoming is a mock beauty pageant for the men on campus to compete in events to prove if they have what it takes to be the new Mr. Wyoming and support a great local philanthropy. This is an event that the students on this campus look forward to each year for great entertainment and a great cause. While these men will participate in formal wear, evening wear and a talent portion, a large part of their involvement is fundraising. While I am sure they can charm fellow students and teachers to donate a few dollars, they cannot do it alone. In past years, we have raised over $4,000 with this event and would like to match that number, if not increase it.
Albany County SAFE Project officially began in 1980 and has been helping members of the community since then. Their mission is “to advocate for and empower survivors of stalking, intimate partner, family and sexual violence. Our education and awareness efforts are focused on prevention and improved community response.” They offer free services to anyone who needs them.
