The Rhymer/Educator Project

In 2018, friends, family, and new supporters helped me fulfill a life long dream - recording a full-length, studio album. I called it The Rhymer/Educator Project . Click the link to take a listen!
With The Rhymer/Educator Project I was able to:
- A: Use music to raise $1,500 for The Pax Center.
- B: Take songs/writings that went back as far as college and convert them into fully produced, professional pieces.
But that leaves me with one question. If the material in The Rhymer/Educator Project spanned from Joe Ruiz during his college years to Joe Ruiz, a husband and father in his early 30's during the first few years of his career as a high school teacher, what kind of new material would I create if I had a completely blank canvas?
I would like to create a 5-song EP that doesn't JUST utilize beats, but live instruments instead. I want to try and fuse hip-hop with poetry and coffee house aesthetics. I want to celebrate relationships from an alternative perspective with a new work titled "love-ish." These would be songs that celebrate relationships from a unique perspective.
Two of these songs are already ready to go. Will you help me wrap up the rest? Sincerely, your favorite teacher/rapper/singer (I hope!). - Joe Ruiz
