Morley AFC - Startup Costs

A couple of months ago we launched an 11-a-side football club from scratch, aimed at reversing the falling number of adults playing Grassroots League football.  We targeted a specific group of people;

·         We recruited more than half of our squad from the local area of the Morley Community  (i.e. lads that have struggled to get back into football, through working commitments)
 
Within a few weeks we signed up 16 players after very strong interest and we are we’re on they way to securing a pitch in the local area (Dartmouth Park) and we’ll be joining the Yorkshire Amateur Saturday league for their new season.

We're trying to raise money, so that we can try and help out with the funding of the ever increasing pitch hire costs and also for the ground equipment.

This would mean a lot to us, as it will show that Grassroots football is still on the map and we can still keep the dream of playing football on a Saturday afternoon alive.
