My name is Morgan Brown; I am a 19-year old sophomore at the University of Alaska, Anchorage with an overall GPA of 3.9. As a Journalism and English major, I am looking forward to a career as a book editor. 
I am embarking in January 2015 on an experience that will, hopefully, change my life for the better. I am headed to 12
different countries to immerse myself into a new global perspective that I will bring home to my family and friends. The amazing experience at Semester at Sea will cost me a grand total of $30,000. This $30,000 will include my tuition, room and board, plane tickets, visas, and books.
I will begin my 112-day educational journey in Ensenada, Mexico where we will head to Hilo, Hawaii. From there we will depart to Yokohama, Japan to Kobe, Japan to Shanghai, China to Hong Kong, China to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to Singapore, Singapore to Rangoon, Burma to Cochin, India to Port Louis, Mauritius to Cape Town, South Africa to Walvis bay, Namibia to Casablanca, Morocco and ending in Southhampton (London), England.
