Montessori Certification for Elaine

Elaine has been teaching at Michigan Dunes Montessori in Muskegon, MI for a year. When she was hired she was told that they would be covering at least some, if not all of the cost of her Montessori Certification.

Over the summer she was informed that she needed to get her certification completed ... and that they no longer had the funds to help with paying for this anymore. She was informed two weeks before the new school year started.

At the time we had no idea what the costs for certifications would be. She would need be able to take it online as the nearest center for certification is in Albion, but the travel expenses also come with an increased cost of a weekend program. We've found an online program that she can take, but the cost is quite expensive. It is roughly three months of our combined take home pay, and that would be if we didn't buy food or pay for gas and other necessities (like medications).

We do not have any credit cards that we could pay this off over time, and we're both still paying on our college loans.

We are hoping to be able to raise some money to offset the cost of this certification.

Without it, the school could at any time replace her with a certified individual.
