Michael Goodman Family H1N1 complication

Jan 13th Mike was taken to the Urgent Care who sent him to the ER and they promptly admitted him to the ICU. He suffered from severe pneumonia and soon there after was confirmed he had H1N1 flu. He was put in an induced coma and hooked to a ventilator to breathe for him. There have been complications throughout the past 4 weeks. He's been on dialysis & ventilators, suffered through fevers and staph infections and now with an abnormal CAT scan, MRI was done. This confirmed he's suffered strokes on both sides.
At this point, it's not known if he will recover fully and if he does, it will be a very long ways into the future before he'll be able to work. If his motor skills and function are affected a full recovery may not happen. Time will tell.
This hard working family of 4 is one of modest means, working as hourly paid employees. The medical co-pays are starting to arrive, rent & utilities are due, gas expenses to and from the hospital each day for Mikes wife Patty are high with the hospital 3 towns away from their home and of course they need to eat. Neither Mike or Patty have worked in 4 weeks now. They have a 16 year old high school student and a 20 year old college student and part time employee still living at home too.
This family has gone out of their way to help others in need whether it's a relative, a friend or fostering a homeless dog in need of a little time to find their new home.
Mike is a good family man who's been with his wife for 25 years. They have 2 children Mikey and Nichelle. They all share their home with their 4 dogs, 3 cats and the bulldog Diesel is Mike's special boy. In addition to his family, Mike loves working on cars, boating, fishing and the Pittsburg Steelers.
