Friends and Family,
Please help the Denver Masterworks Destination Imagination team share their Laugh Art Loud play with the rest of the world at the 2014 Global Competition in Knoxville, TN this May. Our team consists of four boys and three girls who enjoy creativity and working together.
Destination Imagination is a global organization that teaches kids how to use teamwork and creativity to solve problems.
The Challenge that our team picked this year was the Laugh Art Loud challenge. A brief disctiption of our performance is:
First there is a graduation in which Jack finds out he needs to paint an acrylic portrait to be accepted into art graduate school.
Next, he goes back in time to 1506 to meet Raphael and discovers the magic of the Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Mean.
Overjoyed about his discovery, he journeys back home to create a wonderful portrait and is accepted into art graduate school.
This play of ours won 2nd in the regional competition and second in state. It was probably one of the best feelings we had ever experienced when we achieved this great success. We were so excited.
We practice our play evey week and continue to make improvements as we prepare for globals... we are super excited to go to Tennessee!
