The Road To Recovery

Marquisha Jones is a 14 year old honor student who loves to shop, cook, and enjoy time with the family. Marquisha's life was drastically changed on June 28, 2015 when she was hit by a stray bullet as she watched tv late that evening.  She was transported to Benjamin Russell Hospital For Children in Birmingham, Alabama  where doctors  determined the bullet not only shattered her spine, but it also left her permanently paralyzed from the neck down. She has recently had a tracheotomy and a feeding tube inserted.  All of Marquisha's dreams have been put on hold simply because some heartless person decided to open fire.  Since this tragic incident happened,  Marquisha has and still is incurring many medical expenses, not  to mention all the of the expenses she will have one she is released from Children's Hospital.
