Event for Equality Wausau Wisconsin
June 21, 2014, join us on the front lines of history for the second annual Event For Equality!!!
Leaving at noon from shelter #5 at Marathon Park is the March for Equality. We ask you to bring your postive and colorful signs and energy to end gender identity and sexual orientation discrimination. We encourage balloons in every color of the rainbow for you to carry throughout the March, and will have some on hand just in case! This is not a parade, but rather a walk up Stewart Avenue, over the Scott Street bridge to the 400 Block. We MUST stay on the sidewalks, obey traffic rules, and be outstanding citizens to ensure this event continues for many years to come.
From 1:00 to 4:00 the First EVER Event for Equality will be held on our beautiful 400 Block park, in the middle of town! The 400 block will host entertainment, music, family activities and booths from businesses, clubs and organizations that support equal rights.

Afterwards, we celebrate!!
From 7:00 to 10:00, an all ages Black Light and Glow party will be held on the 400 block square with a live DJ, lights and a drag show.
Right around the corner at Oz Wausau, an over 21 party will be held with drink specials and drag! Proceeds will benefit the Heart of Wisconsin Pride to be held in September in Riverside Park, because sharing is caring right? Support those who support you.
