Welcome! We have officially launched our funding drive for the upcoming Sellers Marketplace MakersFront. Our goal is to create a site with the community at the heart and helm. Designed by and for you and sellers like you!
Our current mission statement/goal: To become the premier one stop market place where you can interact with and buy directly from the talented person who brought the items you see to life.
Want to support the beginner hobbyist, who is just learning their craft hoping to earn enough for supplies so they can continue honing their art? This is your place! See an item you love but want it customized? We have artists and entrepreneurs who have you covered. Looking for the greatest vintage and antique finds, and want to talk to an expert in the field before making a purchase? You can find and talk to them here!
Over the next 2 weeks we will be collecting feedback from the community via surveys and polls, which can be found under the Help Us tab, to ensure we have the most accurate overview of what features are most wanted and needed overall.
Once we have collected this information we will begin drawing up our initial launch goals, and stretch launch goals based on what is wanted and what can realistically be done at each level of funding. Our current base funding goal is 60K, which will give us 50K to start with after fees, the same amount Etsy got started with all those years ago.
At this level of funding we expect to be able have a base site ready for launch by the end of October, including standard features such as search, categories, listings with 5 images, and individual shop pages, with details to be ironed out after the feedback collection period has ended.
We have finalized our pricing structure for when the site launches. It will cost .25 to list an item for 4 months or until it sells, whichever comes first. When an item sells we will charge 5% of final sale price, you will also be responsible for whatever the payment processor(s) you choose to use charge. Based on research this will keep total fees below the industry average of 10% while still giving the site enough income to grow and advertise.
We have finalized our investor incentives for helping fund our project.
All Incentives will be distributed after the project has reached final funding and launched.
In the event we do not reach our base funding goal do not fear. We will still be going forward with the site, it will just take longer to get to launch!
The incentives will not change and are as follows:

$15 - 1 Share
$20 - 100 Listings
$30 - 2 Shares
$45 - 3 Shares
$50 - 300 Listings
$60 - 4 Shares
$75 - 5 Shares
$150 - 10 Shares
$200 - 1300 Listings
$300 - 2000 Listings
$300 - 20 Shares
$750 - 50 Shares
$1500 - 100 Shares
$3000 - 200 Shares
$4500 - 300 Shares
$7500 - 500 Shares
$15000 - 1000 Shares
