Our mom had blockages in both of her legs and had surgery to fix it. A few weeks after, we found out she had infections and wasn't healing. The surgeon went back in to clean out the infections and see if it could be redone. But they had to remove the grafts because of the type of infection and she barely had any options. She was in so much pain.


She had another surgery to amputate below the knee but they decided to do it at the ankle instead. Within the same week, she had her fourth surgery to amputate up to her thigh. The surgeon told us that her two incisions had to heal or she could die. She had a total of five surgeries this year.

Throughout the whole time she wasn't receiving enough pain medication. She has had chronic pain for many years and they didn't even give her the amount she was taking at time. She suffered so much.

The hospital bills, rehab, nurse wound care, pain medication, etc is extremely draining and her job recently stopped paying her. In a few months it'll be a struggle even to pay our house bills.
