The MTA Scholarship Fund

Donation protected
The MTA Scholarship Fund has been established to assist individuals of all ages and abilities to participate in music therapy services. With the varied costs of supporting someone with special needs, many of our clients and prospective clients find it challenging to pay for services out of pocket.

Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. Music therapy interventions can be designed to: Promote Wellness, Manage Stress, Alleviate Pain, Express Feelings, Enhance Memory, Improve Communication and Promote Physical Rehabilitation. The effectiveness of music therapy is often a result of the relationship between the music therapist and client. Additionally, music therapy also can also include adaptive music instruction. Music therapists have been trained in music, physiology, anatomy, neurology, psychology, human development, and counseling.

Music Therapy Associates, LLC has provided individual and group music therapy services for clients of all ages and abilities since 1990.
