Mr. University

Dear Family and Friends,
This month I will be participating in Kappa Alpha Theta sorority’s 2015 Mr. University pageant. For the past thirteen years, men from the entire University of San Diego community have competed for this title, helping the ladies of Kappa Alpha Theta raise valuable funds for CASA and the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation. Our goal for this year’s event is $33,000.00.
I will be representing Phi Kappa Theta in this year’s event, and I am asking for your support! Please help us surpass our goal with your tax-deductible contribution. Many thanks.
WHAT IS CASA?
Court Appointed Special Advocates—CASA volunteers—work with children who have been removed from the home due to abuse or neglect. A CASA volunteer provides a voice for the child in the courtroom and the community. CASA programs across the country are known by several different names, including Guardian ad Litem, Child Advocates, and Voices for Children.
For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the only constant adult presence in their lives—the one adult who cares for them. Since the organization was established in 1977, CASA volunteers have helped more than two million abused children nationwide.
WHAT IS THE KAPPA ALPHA THETA FOUNDATION?
Awarding more than $1 million annually, the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation stands as a pillar of support for Thetas and a partner in the Fraternity’s educational and philanthropic efforts. Created by Thetas for Thetas, the Theta Foundation is dedicated to partnering with individuals and college and alumnae chapters for fundraising efforts to support Thetas with scholarships, non-degree educational and leadership grants, and the Fraternity’s educational and leadership programs.
Monetary donations to Mr. University are tax deductible. Our tax ID number is 36-6066531.
Your soon to be “Mr. University,”
Jacob Hirsch
