Miss New Jersey USA-Stop Anorexia

I am very proud and excited to announce that I have been selected as a state finalist to compete in the Miss New Jersey USA 2016 pageant! As a finalist, the campaign I have chosen as my platform is Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders.

This is an issue I hold near and dear to my heart. Having both family and friends who have been affected by this disease is only one of the reasons I am choosing to raise awareness on this issue.

Over the past four years I have been a proud member of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, giving me the opportunity to gain not only a deeper knowledge of this terrible disease but also the power to do something about it.

I have participated in various walks, hosted ANAD events, and even had the chance to meet with sufferers and survivors.

To participate in this pageant I will need to raise a minimum of $1,200 for a sponsorship fee. The pageant has encouraged me to reach out to my friends, family, local businesses, and my community for help. Your donation will not only allow me the opportunity to be a part of something greater than myself, but will give me the power to continue to spread awareness on Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders. All donors will be mentioned at the pageant in the official state program book.
