Lifting up Crystal Lethcoe

"Yesterday, co-workers and friends were trying to track down my sister (Crystal Lethcoe) as she had not been heard from since Monday evening.  She had missed several appointments with her real estate clients and friends, so her co-workers were getting worried and looking for her as well as her friends who started contacting me.  As her best friend and I were en route to her house about 4:45pm we received an update that she had been located and been admitted to Vanderbilt’s trauma ICU.  Her managing broker went to her house and heard her cries for help and contacted emergency services………. I was finally able to go to see and talk to her around 7pm last night, and she was able to explain what had happened.  Tuesday morning around 6am she was going down the stairs at her condo, she tripped and fell to the bottom hitting the wall.  As she fell, her legs became tangled up and her foot was wedged in a small space between the stairs and the wall.  She knocked herself out from hitting her head at the bottom, once she came to she was trapped and unable to move.  She was stuck in that position until 4pm Wednesday afternoon (roughly 34 hours).  She has a broken forearm and badly broken wrist both will require surgery.  She also has 2 blood clots on her right lung, which the doctors think will go away with medication.  She received a bad result on her MRI and was rushed in to surgery around 2a last night to fuse her C3-C7 vertebrae.  Per the surgeon this morning they plan on leaving her in the ICU unit at Vanderbilt for 2-3 more days.  Since she works as an independent real estate agent, she does not have health insurance.  Her friends and colleagues have started a gofundme.com page to help her through this transition."
