Dear Mouse Rat,
In Lexington we have a problem. A problem the size of a city block, right in the heart of downtown. We, too, have a pit.
Our pit would put your pit to shame. If we were going to compare pit sizes, ours would be Detlef Schrempf and yours would be Tom Haverford. Not that we're bragging. We hate our pit. We have tried to "care really loudly" at the people in charge, but there is no Leslie Knope here to listen.
I can't confirm or deny if a person has fallen in yet, but probably. I'm going to guess that there are dozens of Andy Dwyers sitting around Lexington, legs broken and helpless. This is why we need your help Mouse Rat!
When we heard your instant classic "The Pit", it was as if you had peered into the soul of every single Lexingtonian and put our struggle into beautiful, beautiful words. If I may so quote the masterfully poetic stanza:
"The Pit.
I fell in it, The Pit.
You fell in it, The Pit.
We all were in that Piiyeahhuuiit."
That is US you are singing about Mouse Rat. We ARE in the Pit, and we need help getting out.
We want you to play in our pit.
Maybe then, after 7 years, our pit will be filled. If you come to Lexington, we will show you all of what our little city has to offer. Lexington is beautiful (like Ann). We are known as the Horse Capital of the World (think lots and lots of Li'l Sebastians). We have great food (better than Sweetums!) and even better people (like a town full of Ron Swansons and April Ludgates, but no Jerry's, we promise).
Hopefully this GoFundMe will cover the $1000 event fee that you guys specified on your website . Any money left over will go to a local charity, to make Lexington even more awesome, maybe as awesome as Pawnee.
