Let's help Ravi fight cancer

Thanks for helping us to raise funds for Ravi's medical bills.
Our dear friend Ravi was diagnosed with Head & Neck Cancer in April 2014. This is a relatively rare type of cancer which is even more rare for the 30-34 years age [email redacted]%.
Since April 2014 Ravi has been going through multiple treatment modalities (surgery, radiation, chemo) in Hyderabad and London. Unfortunately, the sessions have taken their toll, both on his health and on his family’s finances.
There is hope for Ravi's recovery: The FDA recently approved a drug called Pembrolizumab, which has had success in very late stage melanoma cancer. We hope that this drug will be able to help Ravi too. Clinical trials for use of Pembrolizumab for Head & Neck cancer will start in late February, but we don’t have that much time. Ravi needs access to the drug now.
Each dose of Pembrolizumab costs £4000, and Ravi will need one dose every three weeks. Needless to say, this will be a huge financial burden on Ravi’s family. We are forming ‘Team Ravi’ to help them through it.
We all know the fighter that Ravi is – he is bravely enduring through the chemo and the stress, all with a smile. We hope that with your support we make this smile last forever!
An ulcer that appeared in his mouth has changed Ravi’s life forever. At 31, Ravi has an admission offer for the MBA at Kellog Business School that he has deferred. We are hoping that Ravi can get well soon and live his dreams of getting an MBA degree and maybe DJing with Tiesto someday.
