Leah's medical and family fund

Our sweet little one year old granddaughter Leah Faye has been diagnosed with Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip and is scheduled for major surgery on February 3rd. The operation itself will last 3-5 hours, and afterward she will spend 12 weeks in a Spica cast, with a six week MRI and cast change, and then 6-12months in a body brace. A big ordeal for a little girl!

Leah is a happy, energetic little girl, and the light of our lives. She is strong, and we are confident that she will come through this process just fine.

However her parents are going to need a little help getting her through it. Her parents Josh and Kendra both have to work to cover the family’s bills. Unfortunately, neither of them will be paid for the time they need to take off through the surgery/hospital stay, and the time to care for Leah once she is home with everything she will need as she recovers.  The surgery is obviously expensive, even with insurance. The combination of the increased expenses and the decreased work hours is going to put an enormous strain on their family’s finances.

We are obviously planning to do everything we can for them, but they will need a lot more help than we can give. We are asking for contributions to help this young family cover the medical bills and other expenses while they are off of work, giving their little Leah all of the love and support she needs to heal completely.
