Our good friend Laura Keeney needs your help. Her apartment building was just purchased and the new owner is kicking everybody out so they can "upgrade" the property and jack up the rents. Colorado landlord tenant laws don’t give her or her fellow tenants any rights. They gave her until April 30.
She now has 30 days to find money to to move and pay first and last and a security deposit, just out of the blue.
If you know Laura, you know she is generous, kind, funny, and AWESOME. And many of you know that Laura has had a terrible time of it lately, with her car getting stolen and trashed, having to buy a new one and take on payments while paying student loans and her son’s tuition as a single mom. So many hits all in a row.
Money is tight for everybody I know, but maybe you have five bucks or ten you could share? The more people see this, the more might be able to help. Even if you can't contribute, maybe share it with your network.
If we can band together to help her out, like you guys helped us out when we got burglarized, we can ease this transition. Anything helps. Thanks so much.
