Forcible Entry Door Trainer - LVRS

Donation protected
Have you ever wondered how the fire department can get through people's front door so quickly in the event of an emergency?  Have you even had an emergency where a family member had fallen and couldn't get to the door or been unable to make entry to a house to check on the welfare of a loved one?

We, at the Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad, (a NON-PROFIT charitable organization)(feel free to research us!), strive to provide the best, timely, and highly trained service to the citizens in their time of need.

LVRS values training and has realized that there is a substantial need to for a training simulator that simulates a closed metal inward and outward swinging door that can be breached multiple different ways by many different tools.  LVRS has evaluated all of the simulators on the market today and has unaniously recommended that the Firehouse Innovations door simulator to be the best on the market as designed by a FDNY firefighter. (http://www.firehouseinnovations.com/

A forcible entry simulator is invaluable to firefighters as they learn and remain proficient on forcing through metal doors to make access in your time of emergency be it a fire, natural gas, medical, hazardous materials, or any other type of emergency that requires firefighters to make quick access.

Unfortunately, there are not alot of grant funding iniatives to fund such a prop, so we are reaching out the public for help.  With your support, the volunteers from the Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc Company 49 will be better trained on a highly used skill in the fire/EMS service.

Here is a news article that was done by the FDNY on the simulator and how valuable it is for firefighters and how valuable the training is to your community.

Please support us in purchasing this simulator and associated axe and halligan bar to train with and ensure the best service possible to the citizen of our community and everywhere we respond.  We value our community and always live by our motto "People Helping People."  Our nearly 80 active volunteer firefighters greatly appreciate your help achieving our goal!
