Welcome, or as they say here, Herzlich Willkommen!
Throughout the year Army, Air Force, Marine, Coast Guard, and Navy wounded servicemen and women arrive in Landstuhl, Germany for medical care. Some for treatment before returning to deployed location; others on their way to their respective home stations.
Your donation will provide three season tickets and stadium meals for up to 114 transient patients. Any and all contribution amounts are accepted with deep appreciation and are used exclusively for our wounded warriors.
During their stay, volunteers from the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) take our wounded warriors to partake in the fun and excitement of watching a live 1FCK soccer match. Kaiserslautern's home team plays various teams from across Germany's Fussball Bundersliga 2 at Fritz-Walter Stadium. Does the stadium sound familiar? Of course it does! Fritz-Walter Stadium was one of the stadiums host to the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
The incredibly lively, devoted crowd of Germans leave a lasting and unique experience; local German culture wrapped in American hospitality. While it's not a BBQ with the family or long time friends, taking our wounded warriors to an outing such as this gives them a needed uplifting break back into the activities we enjoy.
