Hey everyone!
I am so excited about my decision to enter the Miss Maryland United States Pageant taking place this February. I am competing for the title of MISS MARYLAND UNITED STATES, after which I will go on to compete for Miss United States. With your support, I will be able to share my passion for giving back and inspiration to young women and girls alike.
Here's a little information about me:
As of a month ago, my collegiate soccer career has ended. With that being said, I had also entered my very first pageant, Miss Maryland USA, and placed in the top 15 out of 79 other qualified women. I have found a love for pageantry because it gives me the opportunity to make connections with likeminded individuals, to compete, and using my experience to inspire others.

I am currently pursuing a degree in the Bachelors of Public health in Family Science major at The University of Maryland-College Park. I have a passion for giving back and inspiring youth as a frequent volunteer with the Grassroots Project. This organization is a student athlete run organization that strives to educate our middle school youth about the importance of sexual health awareness and HIV/AIDS through fun and interactive games.
My background as a student-athlete qualifies me wonderfully for the position of Miss Maryland United states. Proper time management and team work are ordinary occurrences for me as I have been a member of teams for all of my life. Working in a high volume, fast past environment where decisions are made on the fly is something that I have been comfortable with all of my life. As a soccer goalkeeper I learned how to be a great communicator and leader. My education in the position taught me that early communication and notice to those around you can always prevent mistakes. Goalkeepers are able to see the entire field and watch plays unravel, I have to be connected with my teammates at all times and this is performed through constant, affirmative communication. In this position, I have been forced into situations where I have had to react and to do so effectively I have had to think quickly and clearly. This has trained my brain to be ready and able to handle anything that comes in my path and to be uncompromising and steadfast when challenges arise. I am certain that with your help, I possess the qualities needed to fulfill the criteria of MISS MARYLAND UNITED STATES.
