Early pre-cancer detection saved my life!
My journey from Discovery to Recovery

At 12 years old I was diagnosed with pre-melanoma skin cancer. Five surgeries, four years later and feeling great, I'm on a mission to raise awareness, educate and share prevention tips about this deadly disease.  My devotion has been recognized by the American Cancer Society.  As the largest private, not-for-profit organization, more than $4 billion has been spent on cancer research. They have played a role in nearly every cancer breakthrough in history. I'm honored to be a volunteer and determined to share my message from Discovery to Recovery on a national level.

On March 1, 2015 I won the Miss Teen California International 2015 pageant.  Realizing I'd just gained access to a much larger audience, I immediately got involved with speaking engagements at local teen centers, recreation centers and assisted living homes. I'm passionate about saving lives and education is a major part. One of the most exciting events I was able to participate in is the world's largest movement to end cancer: Relay for Life.  4 million people across the globe participate in the more than 6,000 American Cancer Society Relay For Life® events held each year.  It was so inspiring that one week later I volunteered at The American Cancer Survivors Picnic.

It’s an EXCITING year! I'm competing for Miss Teen USA International on July 30, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL (www.MissTeenInternational.us ) !!!! As Miss Teen California INTL, my crown and title has helped me get the word out about the importance of sunscreen on a national level.  I'm devoted to educating people of all ages how to continue to stay active with outdoor sports while being protected from the sun and still looking cool!  My pre-melanoma was first discovered on the top of my head, after my hair grew back, one of the challenges was to find sunscreen to wear on my scalp without making my hair look like a greasy mess. I'm very active and I live just 10 miles from the beach in Southern California, I soon realized that the same skin protection challenges I faced were shared by millions of others. So my next step was to invent SPF4Life! We all need SPF something, may be it's SPF 30 or SPF 50, whatever the strength. we all need it for life. SPF4LIFE is a skin care line and UVA/UVB protection line of clothing. I've been a busy bee!

I'm going to be a dermatologist and was accepted to UCLA medical school for their summer program specializing in dermatology.  Last year I was the president of the National Charity League and through my chapter I was able to volunteer at a local hospital.  Since graduating UCLA, I have the esteemed privilege of being selected to work as a volunteer in a "shadow" program for two physicians that are revered in their field.

Please help me and be a part of this global movement with the American Cancer Society. Donate today, thank you!
