Kelly Girls Worlds 2018

In November of 2017, the Outlaws Allstars Kelly Girls won the National Championship, walking away with the highest scoring routine of the weekend and a bid to compete at the World Championships in Florida in April, 2018. This topped off their most successful season to date, achieving Level 5 Grand Champions at 5/6 competitions throughout 2017.
The Cheerleading World Championships is the most prestigious and competitive competition in the World and the culmination of the season for a large number of teams, and with more than 15,000 competitors at this competition from 40 different countries, it is an opportunity of a lifetime for any Australian cheerleader.
The team is from a local gym in Bayswater, Victoria known as Outlaws Allstars. Outlaws Allstars is World renowned and holds many state, national and international championship titles. After various rounds of vigorous try-outs, 23 of the strongest and most determined athletes were chosen for the team to represent Australia at this event.
The girls in this team range from the ages of 14-23 with majority being full-time students. With many hours of intense training, as well as studying, it is quite difficult for us to work enough to acquire the money needed to travel to the States. Apart from the obvious costs such as flights and accommodation, there are other expenses such as uniforms, competition entry, training costs and much more.
To give you an idea of the work that goes into a competition of this caliber, for the first time we have filmed our progression over the past few months, and will continue all the way until we step on the mat in Florida. Our 'Keeping up with Kellys' videos will give you an insight into our training sessions, including all the highs and lows that we experience each lesson and allow you to follow our journey more closely. We will keep you posted when the first video is released on Youtube!
