#My Journey To Oshkosh - a critics dream

WAIT...SO WHAT'S THE DEAL? The Public Relations of Disney-Pixar Studios here in Miami, FL invited me to cover what would be my first LIVE event as an official member of the press and film critic: the upcoming animated feature Planes which will be shown on Friday, August 2nd at the EAA AirVenture Fly-in Theater in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Prior to the movie, director Klay Hall will be present at the screening to talk about the making of "Disney's Planes," sharing behind-the-scenes stories and secrets.
WHY CONTRIBUTE? This is a once in a lifetime journalistic opportunity that I don't want to miss, and more importantly a personal dream that YOU can help me fulfill.
HOW IS MY DONATION BEING USED? Your personal donation will help with the cost of the flight, lodging, rental-car, and food.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AS A CONTRIBUTOR? I will cover the one-day event by writing a lengthy critique of Disney's Planes and a separate featured article on how the experience has affected my life and career as an aspiring film critic which will be released the week of the film on my movie review blog spot: www.tonguencheek.blog.com.
PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS:
I began writing film reviews for the first time January of this year. Since then, I have created my own movie blog spot which features over 45 film reviews.
In March I was added as a film critic to Chicago's UnRatedMagazine.com
In the month of April I was added as a feature contributor to New York's TheFilmStage.com
I am slated to sign on as a monthly contributor with the highly-acclaimed, Los Angeles based, indie-pioneer-film-making blog FilmCourage.com
I was most recently added to the press list as a film critic in Florida and attended my very first advanced press screening of Jeff Nichols' Mud, on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013 at Regal Cinema in Winter Park, Florida.
