The body of 7-year-old Jorelys Rivera was found Monday afternoon in a metal trash bin, the GBI said. Jorelys, who had been missing since Friday, had been severely beaten and sexually assaulted, according to Vernon Keenan, director of the GBI. Jorelys disappeared around 5 p.m. while she took a break from playing at the River Ridge complex on River Ridge Drive, police said. She reportedly told other children she was going inside to get drinks, but never returned. .I am raising money for Jorelys Rivera Family. Jorelys was my neighbor and my son Chandler was playing with her and came inside right before she disappeared. This really hits home for us because Chandler feels like maybe if he didnt walk in when he did that Jorely wouldn\'t have gotten snatched. I explained how he shouldn\'t ever feel guilty because he is a victim too. All of the kids in this complex and parents are in one way or another. I promised Chandler that he could be some what of a hero if he helped raise money to give her family so they can pay for every day things that they wont be able to pay for otherwise for at least a few months. I cannot fathom trying to work and take care of the other kids if this was my child. Id be paralyzed. I was at Jorelys apartment this morning taking pictures of a few drawings and paintings she made her mom. We are going to be printing pink T shirts with these various paintings and pictures on them. We are also planing a memorial event to remember her and create awareness among the other children in the communities in ATL so Jorelys death wasn\'t for nothing. She will be able to impact lives forever. We ask if you would please donate so My son(Chandler) as well as the other children who she played with can present Jorelys mom with a check to have a better life for the next few months while trying to mentally recover as well as This will help Chandler feel better about what happened.

The money collected will go towards Christmas and funding bills and food etc... for this very distraught family. Even if 5 dollars is all you can donate every little bit counts.
